Mechanics Functional Requirements:
- MFR1: must stand up on its own on top of a horizontal surface
- MFR2: must have a vertical panel to fixate all supports facing the front
- MFR3: must have supports fixed to the panel for storing 24 bins of size 65x62x34mm
- MFR4: must have a single additional support fixed to the panel for a bin fixed only to a strain gauge for user retrieval of items
- MFR5: must have the strain gauge fixed to the panel
- MFR6: must have a conveyor belt mechanism that rotates counterclockwise when looking from the front
- MFR7: must have a pulley driving the conveyor belt with its shaft connected to a stepper motor
- MFR8: the conveyor belt mechanism should have 5 bins equal to the storage bin fixed to and rotating with it
- MFR9: the conveyor belt mechanism should hold up the weight of the 5 bins full of parts plus a margin of 50%
- MFR10: the conveyor belt mechanism should be fixed to the panel
- MFR11: must have a funnel downwards and to the left of the conveyor belt left corner and right above the retrieval support
- MFR12: the funnel must fit a number of parts enough to fill a storage bin passing inside it
- MFR13: the funnel must direct all dropped parts to the retrieval bin in the bin support below it
- MFR14: must have a support for a camera above the conveyor belt mechanism’s left top corner pointed downwards
- MFR15: must have a retractable platform mechanism capable of reaching in for a single storage bin at a time
- MFR15: the platform mechanism must be capable of supporting a single storage bin full of parts at a time
- MFR17: the platform mechanism should have a belt and pulley system for moving and retracting the plaform 70mm in the depth axis
- MFR18: the plaform mechanism pulley should be connected to a motor
