Structure

To remeber the structure of SPARtS we provide below a diagram showing all the key components on the SPARtS interface.

The software is divided into two parts:

• Application: Image processing, graphical user interface and backend.
• Embedded: Map bin positions, store current bin locations and quantity, camera management, routines manager.

The user may retrieve or store bins using the Digital interface, and they interact with the machine mainly by adding or removing the requested bin to and from the Interface Bin Space.

When storing new items, the user adds each type of item to a different Conveyor Belt Bin, then, on the application requests the automatic storage of those items, that will have their photo taken, processed, and then the item stored in an available bin, if possible.

Software Design - Digital Interface

• UC1. Start connection with Embedded Software if available and send the end point for the Image Processing Interface.

• UC2. Search In the Application for Item Information.

  • UC2.1 Allow the user to search one of the 12 items by text

  

  • UC2.2 Search for an item by setting a piece of the item in the buffer bin directly below the camera on SPARtS.
